DJI Osmo Action 6 Overview

The DJI Osmo Action 6 is designed to capture smooth, high-quality footage wherever your adventures take you, offering up to 4K120 video, advanced stabilization, and a rugged body ready for extreme conditions. It’s built around a new 1/1.1" square CMOS sensor that delivers excellent detail, wide dynamic range, and improved low-light performance. It also features a variable f/2–f/4 aperture, a brand-new Starburst Mode, and the ability to shoot 38MP (8K-equivalent) photos. With 50GB built-in storage, 4-hour battery life, and improved cold resistance, the Action 6 is more capable and reliable than ever. The Adventure Combo includes three batteries, a multipurpose charging case, and a 4.9' selfie stick for all-day shooting.

Key Performance Enhancements

The upgraded 1/1.1" sensor captures crisp 4K120 video with excellent detail and improved clarity in high-contrast or low-light scenes. Its 155° ultra-wide FOV keeps more of the action in the frame, while 10-bit D-Log M provides over a billion colors for professional-grade color grading and a wide 13.5-stop dynamic range.

Variable Aperture for More Creative Control

Breaking away from traditional action cameras, the Action 6 introduces a variable f/2–f/4 aperture, allowing you to control exposure and depth of field. Whether shooting night scenes or bright landscapes, the camera adapts for balanced, sharp results. Paired with the optional macro lens, it delivers close-up shots with a shallow depth of field and pleasing bokeh.

Night Imaging Reinvented

Starburst Mode transforms point lights into star-shaped highlights, adding cinematic flair to night footage.
SuperNight Mode combines the larger sensor, wide aperture, and advanced noise reduction to produce clear, detailed video at up to 4K60 even in very low light.

High-Resolution Still Photos

Capture 38MP images (7168 × 5376) or 8K-resolution stills, offering double the clarity of previous generations. A new “live photo” feature lets you convert 3-second videos into dynamic moving images.

Dual High-Brightness OLED Touchscreens

The camera features a 2.5" 800-nit rear OLED and a 1.46" 800-nit front OLED, both responsive even with wet hands. The UI automatically rotates when switching between horizontal and vertical shooting, making framing and adjusting settings easier than ever.

Advanced Stabilization Options

The Action 6 offers multiple stabilization modes, including:
