About Us

Alan Photo Pte Ltd was established in 1986 in Sim Lim Square, Singapore. For over thirty years we build a reputation across the photographic industry as one of the top independent photographic retailers in Singapore, serving the needs of all photographers, from enthusiasts through to professionals, through the very highest level of customer service.

In 2006, another milestone in Alan Photo history as we set about opening our second branch in the Funan IT Mall which furthers enhanced our foothold in being the top photography retailer in Singapore.

In 2016, we embarked on a brand-new retail concept of having a fully functional cyclorama studio within a retail space of 3000 sq ft in CThub 2 Lavender.

Customers could utilise the studio space to test out an extensive range of studio lights, grip equipment, and many more! 

Without holding back, we created Asia’s largest retail lens store in another unit next to our flagship Sim Lim Square store in 2017. Customers could browse all the lenses available in one place, with lens try out from Sony G Master to big Canon and Nikon Telephoto lenses.

Funan Mall reopened in 2019 after being closed for a few years for a major mall revamp. We were first to jump back on the bandwagon to be there to ready to serve our regulars who have supported us since our first establishment. The Mall may have changed to a different concept, our beliefs and core values remain strong and we are glad to be serving our customers.

We are proud to be appointed Authorized reseller for many reputable and established brands here in Singapore. Through the years, we have also been awarded numerous awards by our partners for our sales contributions.

Coming from a humble Photo Store, our staff receives regular training to ensure that the buying advice and technical assistance we can offer is second to none - for both photographic beginners and pros alike. Expanding our inventory to videography, broadcast, and audio products to help cater to ever-changing needs. We pride ourselves on having the complete solution for Pre to Post Production needs.

In 2017, we established a team of core members who branch out to service our customers who needed more than purchasing of equipment. We took on projects for studio setups, light grids installation, and even a full Church live setup with videowall projection.

Alan Photo - Education
To further cultivate our customers with their photography and videography knowledge and skills, we hold educational workshops for our customers that are conducted by professionals in that particular field. A variety of workshops are conducted to help our customers learn and socialise with others alike.
