The VG-C6 Vertical Grip is designed to deliver a comfortable and secure shooting experience with controls that mirror the α7R VI camera body, ensuring seamless operation in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Its ergonomic design enhances stability during long shooting sessions, while integrated front and rear dials with lock functions provide precise and confident control.

Built for extended performance, the VG-C6 supports dual NP-SA100 batteries, effectively doubling shooting time for uninterrupted workflows. Remaining battery levels are clearly displayed on the camera, and charging via the camera’s USB Type-C® port is supported for added convenience.

Engineered as part of a durable imaging system, the grip features dust and moisture resistance matching the camera body, along with a robust magnesium alloy construction for enhanced reliability in demanding environments.

Beyond performance, the VG-C6 includes a full suite of controls—such as shutter button, AF ON, AEL, MOVIE, C2 buttons, multi-selector, and dual rear dials—along with a sliding battery tray, tripod socket, and strap attachment points for flexible use.

In line with Sony’s environmental commitment “Road to Zero,” the VG-C6 incorporates over 60% recycled plastics (including SORPLAS™ material) and reduced plastic packaging, supporting more sustainable production.

    The VG-C6 Vertical Grip offers secure hold and ergonomic controls consistent with the camera body, ensuring comfort during long shoots. It includes front and rear dials with a lock function, for seamless operation in both vertical and horizontal positions.
  2. Optimised dual battery use for prolonged operation
    The VG-C6 Vertical Grip holds two NP-SA100 batteries. When using two batteries, the camera will operate for nearly twice as long as when using one battery. Remaining battery time is shown on the camera display for confident shooting. Power and charging via the camera's USB Type-C® connector are supported.
  3. Part of a durable, reliable system
    Built with the same dust and moisture resistance as the camera body, the VG-C6 Vertical Grip ensures reliable performance in tough conditions. Its magnesium alloy frame adds exceptional durability.
