Intelligent Subject Tracking
DJI RS 5 is equipped with the RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module, allowing users to frame and track subjects directly from the gimbal’s touchscreen. It supports tracking for people, vehicles, and pets with a range of up to 10 meters, and can automatically reacquire subjects if they temporarily leave the frame.
Advanced Stabilization Performance
Powered by a next-generation stabilization system, RS 5 delivers a 50% increase in peak motor torque compared to the previous model. The 5th-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm ensures smooth, controlled footage during walking, running, and vertical shooting, even in fast-moving scenarios.
Compact Design with High Payload Capacity
Despite weighing just 1.46 kg, RS 5 supports payloads up to 3 kg, making it compatible with a wide range of mainstream mirrorless camera and lens combinations without the need for additional accessories.
Operation & Ergonomic Control
RS 5 enhances workflow efficiency with the Electronic Briefcase Handle for intuitive single-handed control. Fine-tuning balance knobs with a leadscrew mechanism allow precise adjustments, while 2nd-Gen automated axis locks enable faster setup, safer transport, and quick transitions between shots.
Native Vertical Shooting & Quick-Release System
The 3rd-Gen native vertical shooting design allows fast mechanical rotation to switch shooting orientation in seconds. Dual-layer Arca-Swiss and Manfrotto quick-release plates with position memory enable seamless transitions between tripod and gimbal without rebalancing.
Power Management & Extended Runtime
RS 5 supports one-hour fast charging and delivers up to 14 hours of standby time. For extended shooting sessions, the optional BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip expands standby time up to 30 hours and supports 45 W PD fast charging.
Wireless Control & System Compatibility
Expanded Bluetooth shutter support enables wireless control of shutter, zoom, and Clear Image Zoom for select Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, and Fujifilm cameras, eliminating the need for cables.
Professional Expansion & Connectivity
Additional tools such as the Z-Axis Indicator provide real-time feedback for improved walking stability. RS 5 also supports DJI Focus Pro Motors for precise lens control, DJI SDR Transmission for high-definition live feeds and remote operation, and an RSA communication port with open RS SDK support for custom accessories and third-party integration.
