The Global Shutter System
The Sony Alpha 9 III features the first full-frame stacked CMOS 24.6 MP2 image sensor in the world with a global system shutter. Exmor RS is a new image sensor developed by Sony that exposes and reads the entire pixel simultaneously. This allows the camera to capture moving subjects without distortion.

Blackout-Free Shooting
You can enjoy a blackout-free viewing experience, even when shooting continuously and at a high speed. This is an important feature for those who shoot sports or other fast-moving subjects. This reduces the time lag, which is often distracting, that comes with EVF viewing.
Continuous Shooting Speed Boost
Continuous shooting boost temporarily increases the speed of the camera while taking bursts. You can capture all the action. It is especially useful for sports and fast-paced activities, where timing can be estimated.
